The JPEG 2000 Group ("J2G") is a project to provide support for the JPEG 2000 standard now that it's been released.
The lofty end goal is to provide a codec of the quality of the IJG JPEG codec, but for JPEG 2000. If this is possible, I'm not sure. We'll have fun trying, either way!
